On April 12, 2017, the Students of Color Alliance club sponsored “My Brother’s Keeper,” a panel discussion about mentoring boys and young men of color. The moderator was Les Saunders, lecturer of Counselor Education & Family Therapy at Central Connecticut State University. Panelists included:

President Barack Obama began the My Brother’s Keeper Initiative in 2014 to address the barriers to success faced by young men of color in the United States. Of the initiative, President Obama embraced the challenge of “helping more of our young people stay on track.”
